Welcome Parishioners
St. Philomene Parish was established in 1948 and since then has been home to many people who find it a welcoming, loving community of faith. Many have also been formed in their faith in our Parish school. Today, we are a parish rich in diversity of gifts and ethnic groups that include a huge Hispanic community, Filipinos, Africans, Croatians, and members of other ethnic groups who worship God with many long time Caucasian parishioners. We really thank God and appreciate the gift of each person and their talents to our Parish.
We are a Communion of brothers and sisters created by our Communion with Jesus Christ, who in His love died and rose from the dead to save us and gives those who have faith in His Holy Spirit to enable them to live in His love. Guided by the Holy Spirit we at St. Philomene try to express our faith in Jesus by our Joyful Worship of God in the celebration of the Sacraments, especially the Most Holy Eucharist, by our growth in faith through prayer, faith formation, and evangelization as well as through loving service to one another and to all around us.
As pastor and on behalf of the whole parish I welcome you and hope that your visit to our website may answer your longings for God and His Church. And if you are looking for a faith filled, loving community I invite you to come and worship with us and see if you feel called to one the many ministries Jesus Christ has inspired in our parish.
Sincerely,Eduino Silveira, Pastor
